The eleventh match of the 2013 Japan Football League sees Fujieda MYFC travel to bottom club Tochigi Uva.
Fujieda MYFC team news
Toshihide Saito has a tough decision on his hands when it comes to his starting XI on Sunday. After battling back from 2-0 down in the last game at home to Sagamihara to get a credible draw, player/manager Saito has decide whether to reinstate top scorer Kerlon. He missed last week’s game through injury but is likely to be back for this week’s game in Tochigi.
The Brazilian is undoubtedly one of the best players at the club but the decision on who makes way for he will be tough. Alan scored last week, Yuta Murase was man of the match and without the experience of Toshiya Ishii and Hiroyuki Ishida, the team looks unbalanced. One man who could make way could be Oha. Although he worked hard in his first start last week, he could be the man who drops out.
Elsewhere in the side, Saito will yet again have to decide on who plays on goal. He seemed settled on Daichi Shibata but on loan Tatsuya Murao has played recently. They have made 6 and 4 appearances respectively so it still remains a mystery who is really first choice.

Tochigi Uva team news
After finishing bottom last season, this year has been no better for Tochigi Uva as they currently sit in bottom of the table. Luckily for them in 2012, the bottom side in JFL were not automatically relegated. Instead, they entered the promotion and relegation playoffs to decide their fate. They were drawn against Norbritz Hokkaido in a two legged winner takes all affair. Despite losing the first leg 2-1, they scraped a penalty shootout win to remain in the JFL.
With that less than flattering result in the playoffs, Uva fans had every reason to worry. Fortunately for the sake of football fans, there are not many of them with average home crowds of 500 and their previous two home games having an average of 250.
Sunday’s hosts had arguably the toughest start to the campaign with games against Kamatamare Sanuki, Nagano Parceiro and Machida Zelvia. Surprisingly, they did manage to pick up one point out of nine, a goalless draw at home. Since then they have managed just four more points and are on a streak of four straight losses.
Last season’s top scorer Manabu Wakabayashi is still at the club this year but despite 8 goals in 2012, he has had a fruitless season so far, with no goals in nine appearances. The goal scoring mantle has been passed over to Minoru Ichikawa, currently top scorer with 3 goals in top games. The 25 year old midfielder has already beaten his tally of 2 from last year.
Last year’s results
Last year the game at the Tochigi City Stadium between the two sides ended with a 1-0 win for MYFC. A goal by Alan was a enough for the three points.
The game kicks off on Sunday at 1pm or 5am UK time.
