Bad news for Fujieda fans today as it was announced that Kerlon is training with J League Division 2 side Tokyo Verdy. The news was reported by Nikkan Sports and the article also stated that the Brazilian attacking midfielder was keen to have a go at J2.
If he does leave then it will be bad news for the club as he is by far one of the best players in the entire Japan Football League. However, that said the team did well to even sign him in the first place and to keep him for a year is impressive considering his sizable talent.
Nothing is official yet, as Verdy are likely to want to see if his knee troubles, which have blighted his career, are at least manageable before he signs. H
