It’s fair to say that it was a bad day at the office for Fujieda, after going down to a 3-0 defeat at home to bottom club MIO Biwako Shiga. In a match which also saw them have a player sent off, it will not be hard for Toshihide Saito to forget this match.
A change of system was imposed by Saito who went for a 5-3-2 formation. There were enforced changes that to be made with himself and goalkeeper Daichi Shibata suspended. Hiroki Narabayashi and Tatsuya Murao replaced them.
Elsewhere, there were plenty of other changes. The biggest being Daisuke Ichikawa getting his first ever start in the JFL after is slow recovery from injury. Also in were Takahisa Nishiyama, Kanta Takahashi and Hiroyuki Ishida. Out went Masaya Sato, Ken Hisatomi, Kazushi Uchida and Shogo Nakatsuru.
Newly registered players Daijirou Harada and Shuto Ishino made the bench for first time.
However, the numberous changes made did not have the desired effect as the game was a disaster from start to finish for the home side. Playing a side with just one win in their last twenty, the hosts were the strong favourites but it turned out to be far from that.
After just thirteen minutes, MIO were in the lead when Jo Okumura fired in his second goal of the season. Then, just ten minutes later, star signing Atsushi Katagiri scored his first ever goal in the JFL to double the visitors’ lead.
This lead to radical action by Saito who subbed Narabayashi for Uchida after 37 minutes. There was immediate improvement before half time as Ishida picked up a booking and the hosts went into the break 2-0 down.
Saito made another change at half time with Alan being replaced by Akira Toshima but it had little time to take effect as seven minutes into the second half, Ishida picked up his second yellow and was given his marching orders.
The awau side instantly capitalised and made it 3-0 in the 55th minute thanks to Ryo Suzuki’s second of the season. Hisatomi was then thrown on for Nishiyama but to no effect as the game ended in a 3-0 loss for MYFC.
Fujieda MYFC (5-3-2) – Murao; Narabayashi (Uchida 37′), Fujimaki, Okuda, Takahashi, Ichikawa; Ishii, Alan (Toshima 45′), Ishida; Nishiyama (Hisatomi 68′), Hashimoto
MIO Biwako Shiga (3-5-2) – Nagatomi; Ikeno, Asahi, Nakamura; Yarita, Hamada, Uno, Katagiri, Imai (Watanabe 80′); Suzuki (Kinoshita 80′), Okumura (Yamamichi 68′)
Final score: Fujieda MYFC 0-3 MIO Biwako Shiga
Scorers: Okumura 13′, Katagiri 23′, Suzuki 55′
Next game: Sagawa Printing (away) 13/10/13 1pm/5am
An absolute horrific result for Fujieda who go down to their second loss in a row. Hopefully next week against Sagawa Printing, the side can redeem themselves with Saito back from suspension. Although, they will be without Ishida and Shogo Fujimaki, who picked up his fourth booking of the season in the match.
