JFL review: Fujieda MYFC 1-4 Yokogawa Musashino

Another game, another defeat for Fujieda. The hoss kept their in-form visitors, Yokogawa Musashino, in touching distance going into half time but the second half was a one sided affair all to familiar for MYFC at the moment.

Lineup before the match

There were four changes for Fujieda following last week’s 3-2 defeat by Honda FC. Out went goalkeeper Daichi Shibata, defender Shinji Tominari, the suspended Daijirou Okuda and striker Takahisa Nishiyama. In came Tatsuya Murao, Hiroki Narabayashi, Shogo Fujimaki and Akira Toshima. Striker Manato Takahashi, who signed last month, made the bench for the first time.

The visitors came into the game in very good form, without a loss for four months, and it was them who scored first. Midfielder Keisuke Iwata putting the away side 1-0 up in the 22nd minute, his first of the season.

However, the hosts refused to cave in though and with seven minutes, they had equalised. Akira Toshima scored the goal, his long awaited first since joining from on loan from JEF Chiba. It was the striker’s elevnth appearance of the season so to finally get his firs goal for the club, must have been a relief.

Fujieda celebrating their only goal

That goal made it all square at half time and both teams resisted making changes at half time. Just two minutes later though, Toshihide Saito may have wished he had as the visitors were in front again. Masaaki Yabe’s fifth of the season enough to put Yokogawa in the lead.

Things then went from bad to worse for MYFC, as the away side took complete control of the game when they scored again five minutes later. This time it was striker Makuni Ono with his secnd of the season.

Yokogawa’s scoring was then completed in the 71st minute when Iwata scored his second of the game.

After that, Saito threw of Shogo Nakatsuru, Nishiyama and Takahashi for his debut but MYFC were unable to pull a goal back.
