J3 Review: SC Sagamihara 2-1 Fujieda MYFC

Fujieda fell to a second defeat in a row, albeit an unlucky one, as they lost 2-1 away to SC Sagamihara thanks to a late own goal.

Starting XI before the match.

Fujieda lined up with a 4-2-3-1 system similar to the one used last week in the defeat by Gainare Tottori. Out went Daijirou Okuda, Masato Mizuki and Yuichiro Edamoto and in came Ryuji Mochizuki, Shunya Ando and Takumi Hashimoto.

Sagamihara lineup up with a solid 4-4-2 system with Yuya Sano and Naohiro Takahara both leading the line.

The home side started the game on top and tested Park in goal for MYFC early on when winger Tetsuya Kanno’s shot had to be tipped wide for a corner.

Tsugutoshi Oishi getting stuck in.

The hosts had another chance moments later when after Keita Sogabe’s shot was saved, he played the ball back to Sano on the penalty spot but he fired over from close range.

Sagamihara continued to pile on the pressure and Park had to be quick to react to block a shot after Hiroki Omori has crossed.

The game went in at half time at 0-0 but five minutes into the second half, Sagamihara took the lead. Right-back Kota Amano’s cross found its way to Takahara who calmly finished from 12 yards out into the bottom left corner.

Ten minutes later though, Fujieda equalised. Takahiro Tanio intercepted a pass just inside the centre circle and then ran for goal. He powered his way past two defenders before blasting home from just inside the box into the top right corner. It was a brilliant strike and put MYFC on the front foot.

In the 78th minute, Tanio was replaced by Edamoto and he was instantly involved in the match. He played in Ken Hisatomi who went through one-on-one but his shot went narrowly wide.

With five minutes to go, Sagamihara took the lead. A cross from the left from Sogabe was unfortunately deflected in by Fujieda defender Mochizuki to give the home side the 3 points with moments to spare.
