J3 Preview: Blaublitz Akita v Fujieda MYFC

Blaublitz match

Matchday 11 of the J3 sees 10th place host 11th as Fujieda MYFC travel to Blaublitz Akita. A win will see Fujieda leapfrog their opponents in the league table.

Fujieda MYFC team news
Fujieda stopped their four game losing streak last week with a solid 0-0 draw with Zweigen Kanazawa, despite being down to ten men for much of the game.

The man who was sent off last week was Hiroki Narabayashi so he will definitely miss out this weekend. Fortunately, MYFC’s defence was a lot more solid last weekend, thanks to the return of Desmond so hopefully he will be fit and ready to play again this Sunday.

Up front, Musashi Mizushima chose to play 4-4-2 last week and handed Yusuku Ishii his first start of the season, as he partened Tsugutoshi Oishi up top. The pair could start again with this match offering a great chance to get back on the winning trail.

Last season:
8th (JFL)

After a solid finish in the JFL last year, coming in 8th place, Blaublitz Akita would have been hoping to continue that form into J3. However, so far that has yet to happen, with just two wins and two draws so far all season from ten games.

The season got off to a tricky start for Blaublitz, with just two points from their first five games but their two victories this season have been impressive home wins over Grulla Morioka and Gainare Tottori.

Last year’s top scorer was Masatoshi Matsuda, who scored 10 goals last year in the JFL. However, he has no longer with the club as he retired at the end of last season.

This season, the club have only scored 9 goals so far and they have been relatively spread out amongst the players.

Their current top scorer this year with three goals is Hirotika Miyoshi. The club also has Brazilian striker Leonardo. The forward has two goals in seven games so far but is very experienced in the J League, having played over 100 games in J2 with various clubs, including most recently Giravanz Kitakyushu in 2012.

Another player to watch out for is South Korean Keun-Ho Lee. The midfielder played five games last year in J2 for Giravanz Kitakyushu, scoring one goal. He has one assist so far this year.
