J3 Preview: Fujieda MYFC v J League U22

JU22 match 2This Sunday sees J3 match day 12 take place and for the first team, teams will be playing against sides they have already played this season. This weekend sees Fujieda MYFC hosting J League U22 for the second time this season. The earlier match this year, ended in a 4-2 victory for the U22s.

Fujieda MYFC team news
It has been a long time since Fujieda’s first win of the season came. It was as far back as the 30th March. Seven matches have past since then, with MYFC picking up just two points in that time.

Last weeks’ 2-1 defeat at Blaublitz Akita was the side’s seventh loss of the year. It looked like it would be very different after Tsugutoshi Oishi gave Fujieda the lead in the second minute but 15 minutes later, MYFC were behind once again.

After being suspended last week, Hiroki Narabayashi will be available to start this weekend, which could see Shunya Ando drop to the bench again. There could be places back in the starting lineup for Takumi Hashimoto and Takahiro Tanio, who have be benched in recent games, having started the majority the earlier matches.

J League U22 have used over 50 players this season, regularly using all five of the substitutes in their matches. Despite this, they have had a relatively solid season this year but it has been unsurprisingly inconsistent, with impressive wins backed up by heavy losses.

Their heaviest defeat was a 6-1 loss to Grulla Morioka in match day 3. The side have conceded 20 goals in their 11 matches so far, only Fujieda have conceded more.

After four wins from their first six games, their following five games have yielded just one victory. The side have also really struggled for goals recently. In their last six games, they have scored just two goals. Both however, resulted in 1-0 wins.

It is almost impossible to predict who will play for J League U22, with so many players to pick from, but manager Tsutomu Takahata usually plays a 4-2-3-1 system.

They have two players who have scored two goals each this year, forward Tomoya Koyamatsu and midfielder Shota Kaneko.
