Match day 15 of the J3 League sees Fujieda MYFC host 2nd place side AC Nagano Parceiro. A victory for either side, will see some movement in the league table, with a win for Parceiro possibly seeing them rise to the top of the table.
Fujieda MYFC team news
Despite the 3-1 loss away to Zweigen Kanazawa last week, it was a good effort from the Fujieda players, especially to score a goal against a side which had previously only conceded 6 goals in its first 13 matches.
The big news last week though was the fact that top-scorer Tsugutoshi Oishi was missing from the squad. Reports have it that the nine-goal forward was injured for the match. Hopefully, he would have sufficiently recovered in time for this Sunday’s game. If he is, the 24-year-old will be playing against the side who he made his Fujieda debut against, back in late March. It was also the game where Oishi introduced himself to the J3 League, as he scored all four goals to beat Parceiro 4-1.
Elsewhere, there are not many points of discussion for Fujieda’s relatively settled starting line-up in recent weeks. A win could see MYFC move up to 9th in the table.
AC Nagano Parceiro fact file
Stadium: Saku Central Athletic Park Stadium (sometimes play at various other stadiums)
Manager: Naohiko Minobe
Last season: 1st (JFL)
Nagano Parceiro are enjoying a good start to life in J3. After fourteen games, they are just two points off Machida Zelvia in first place and have lost just one game all season – but that game was the loss to Fujieda.
In fact, Fujieda are a bit of a bogey team for Parceiro, in the sides’ past five meetings, they have only one once and have lost three times.
The club will be looking to make that record change on Sunday and they are in great form to do so, having won six of their last seven.
Their recent impressive form has been largely down to striker Yuji Unozawa. The striker is the definition of a goal machine. In 66 matches in the JFL, over two seasons with Parceiro, he scored 37 goals and assisted a further 18. A very impressive goal return. This season has been no different, he has eight goals in 14 appearances, five of those goals have come in his last four as well, so he is in hot goal scoring form. Unozawa is definitely someone Fujieda need to watch out for.
Parceiro also have two players who have contributed five assists each. Left-back or left midfielder Kohei Takano and centre midfielder Shinichi Mukai have set up 10 goals between them so will have to be closed down quick by Fujieda.
