Fujieda MYFC went down to a 1-0 loss against second place Nagano Parceiro in match day 15 of the J3 League. The match was being played at Kusanagi Athletic Stadium, around 20km away from Fujieda, despite it being a home match for MYFC, with Fujieda’s usual stadium undergoing repairs on the pitch.
The big team news for Fujieda was that leading goal scorer Tsugutoshi Oishi was back from injury, after he missed last weeks’ match. He replaced Takahiro Tanio up front, who dropped out of the squad altogether.
The other change to MYFC’s starting team saw Takumi Hashimoto drop out for Ken Hisatomi. Left winger Takahisa Nishiyama made the bench as well, the last time he played was on 6th April.
Eight-goal striker Yuji Unozawa led the line for Parceiro, as they lined up with an attacking 3-4-3 system.
The first half was a real non-event. Very little happened as both sides cancelled each other out in Kusanagi.
Half time saw a change as MYFC boss Musashi Mizushima replaced his captain, left back Hiroki Narabayashi and brought on Ryuji Mochizuki.
The game continued to remain tight and with the match still goalless after 75 minutes, Mizushima brought on Hashimoto for Yuichiro Edamoto.
However, the change did not have the desired effect. One minute after the substitution, the visitors made the decisive breakthrough. Yuki Sato broke down the left, eventually setting up up left sided player Kohei Takano to poke home, his first goal of the season to add to the five assists he has already accumulated,
Fujieda attempted to rescue a late equaliser, throwing on Nishiyama and Yuta Kutsukake but it was to no avail, as Parceiro hung on for the three points.
Interestingly, Desmond was booked after the match for Fujieda, meaning his disciplinary problems popped up again. Hopefully, it won’t result in a ban like it has done in previously this season.
