J3 Preview: Blaublitz Akita v Fujieda MYFC

Blaublitz match 2
Match day 21 of the J3 League sees Fujieda MYFC travel to Blaublitz Akita as they search for their first win in five matches.

Fujieda MYFC team news
After two successive weeks of conceding stoppage time goals, which have cost Fujieda three points, MYFC will be hoping that this Sunday is finally the day they get back to winning ways.

Their last league win came back on the 15th June but recent performances have shown that a fifth win of the season might not be that far away, especially last weeks’ performance as Fujieda held league leaders Machida Zelvia to a draw until the 94th minute.

Two players who won’t be featuring in this weekend’s game are Desmond and Shunya Ando. The pair both left the club this weekend, leaving Fujieda two defenders short from now on.

However, Fujieda fans will be hoping top scorer Tsugutoshi Oishi is back this match, after the 10 goal striker missed last Sunday’s defeat to Zelvia.

New signing Shunya Kamiya has yet to make an appearance for the club but with two less players for Musashi Mizushima to pick from now, the midfielder has a chance of making the bench for the first time this weekend.

Blaublitz Akita secured a first league win last weekend in eight games they finally secured three points after six losses in a row. The poor run of form meant last week’s 4-0 win over J League U22 was very timely, as it halted the side’s slip down the J3 League table.

Blaublitz would have been hoping for more from this season, as they aimed to build on a solid 8th place finish last year in the JFL but this year has been more of struggle. A loss this weekend could see them drop as low as 11th,

One of the main problems for Blaublitz this season has been the amount goals they have conceded, 36 in 20 games. That is three more than Fujieda and only two teams have conceded more. A home they have been slightly more solid though, conceding 1.55 goals per game, as opposed to 2.11 away from home.

The club have had a good strike force this season though. The pairing of Hirochika Miyoshi and Leonardo up front has produced 13 goals, over half of the club’s 24 goals.

Miyoshi has seven so far this season but only one in his last seven whilst Leonardo has six goals this season but he is in hot form, having scored four goals in his last four.

Another player to watch out for is former  Thespakusatsu Gunma midfielder Shingo Kumabayashi. The very experienced J League 33-year-old has six assists already this year.

Last season’s result
08/06/13 – Blaublitz Akita 3-6 Fujieda MYFC
