J3 Review: Fujieda MYFC 2-1 J League U22

Fujieda MYFC returned to winning ways after coming from a goal down to beat J League U22 2-1. The win means Fujieda move up to 10th in the J3 League table, with a game in hand.

There were two changes from the team which started the game against Blaublitz Akita three weeks ago. In came top scorer Tsugutoshi Oishi and Shogo Nakatsuru and out went Yuta Kutsukake and Takahisa Nishiyama.

There was a slight tweak in system, with Yusuke Ishii, who started the last game, dropping into midfield so Oishi could lead the line a 4-5-1 formation. J League U22 went for a 4-4-2 system.

The game got off to a disastrous start for MYFC as after 11 minutes, central midfielder Ryosuke Maeda, contracted to Vissel Kobe, scored his second goal of the season for the J League youngsters to give them an early 1-0 lead. The ball rolled to the edge of the area, where Maeda was deflected before finding its way into the net.

It looked like the game was going to go into half time at 0-1 when but in the second minute of stoppage time, Yuichiro Edamoto whipped in a free kick from the left and the ball was eventually poked in by Masaya Sato.

Half time saw J League U22 replace the goalkeeper but his match got after to a terrible as just two minutes into the second half, Fujieda took the lead. Sato played a low cross into the box from the left to Oishi, who tidily tucked the ball into the net for his 11th league goal of the season.

Those two goals either side of half time were enough to secure victory for Fujieda and they had goalkeeper Park Iru Gyu to thank as he made a fantastic save late on. Daisuke Ichikawa also made his come back from injury, coming on as a 68th minute substitute.
