J3 Preview: Zweigen Kanazawa v Fujieda MYFC

Kanazawa match 3

Fujieda MYFC’s 28th match of the J3 League season sees them have the ominous task of travelling to top-of-the-table Zweigen Kanazawa.

Fujieda MYFC team news
Having named an unchanged team last weekend for the disappointing 2-0 home loss to Fukushima United, manager Musashi Mizushima will be well in his rights to make changes for tomorrow’s match.

It is possible against a side who have won seven of their last eight games, that Mizushima could set up his side a little more defensive than usual. This could mean switching to a 4-5-1 system, which would result in dropping one of the striker who started last week. That is likely to be Yusuke Ishii, with Masato Mizuki a possible replacement for him, after the midfielder had an impact of the bench last week.

Defender Daisuke Ichikawa has missed out on the last two games, Fujieda fans will be hoping the former Japan international will be available for tomorrow’s game, as the defence usually looks at lot more solid with him at the back.

Zweigen Kanazawa have been in incredible form. Seven wins in their last eight and only one defeat in their least eleven has meant that Kanazawa are now top of the table by four points.

A player who has been vital in this run of form has been Shoma Mizunaga. Since the striker has joined Kanazawa on loan from J2 side V-Varen Nagasaki, he has played ever game for his new club since match day 18. Those eleven appearances have yielded seven goals and three assists, a very prolific return.

Joint on seven goals with Mizunaga is attacking midfielder Shohei Kiyohara. The club’s captain, he has played in every league game so far this season and has contributed four assists as well as those seven goals.
