J3 Review: Fujieda MYFC 1-2 Blaublitz Akita

Blaublitz Akita leapfrogged Fujieda MYFC into 9th place as they secured a 2-1 away in in Fujieda. The visitors managed to hang on despite having to play the last 13 minutes with ten men after Keita Makiuchi was sent off.

Fujieda line-up before the game

There was one change to the side which drew with Nagano Parceiro last week. Out went Yuichiro Edamoto., who was replaced by Yuhei Marumoto.

Top scorer Hirochika Miyoshi led the line for Blaublitz, who started with a 3-5-2 formation.

The game started slowly but then Fujieda were forced into a change as Yuhei Marumoto had to go off injured. Yusuke Ishii replaced him in the 27th minute.

After the change, the chances started to fall for MYFC. Tsugutoshi Oishi went close with a header but then in first half stoppage time, the hosts took the lead. Ken Hisatomi broke down the left before cutting in to set up Oishi. His shot from 14 yards out took a deflection as it beat the Blaublitz ‘keeper and found the bottom right corner.

The match went into half time with Fujieda 1-0 up but their lead did not last long. Just one minute into the second 45, Blaublitz equalised. A chipped through ball Kazuhiro Kawata lobbed all the Fujieda defenders to find Hirochika Miyoshi. He calmly finished after bringing the ball down on his chest to make it 1-1.

Things then got even worse for MYFC as just six minutes later, they were behind after some sloppy defending. A seemingly hopeless ball forward was mis-controlled by midfielder Lee Keun Ho but his touch fooled defender Kazushi Uchida into diving in. Lee took one more touch to then beat the floored Uchida and his centre back partner Ryuji Mochizuki before firing past an onrushing Park Iru Gyu in goal.

Fujieda were stunned. Just seven minutes ago they were in the lead but now they were trailing at home to a side lower than them in the league.

The hosts tried to fight back and soon went close as a cross from the right found substitute Ishii. His shot beat Blaublitz’s goalkeeper but hit the post and bounced out.

The visitors then went down to ten men as Keita Makiuchi cynically brought down Takahisa Nishiyama to receive his second yellow card and his marching orders.

Despite their opponents being down a man, Fujieda could not break down their stubborn visitors and suffered their first defeat in three games. Despite having just four shots to Fujieda’s 11, Blaublitz had won.

Disappointed after defeat but Fujieda will come back stronger!
